Nicolae Dobrescu - Director Executiv


FVB welcome Nicolae Dobrescu back into the fold. Nico first worked with FVB as a Project Co-ordinator in Negru Voda one of Romania’s orphanages, back in 2000. He rose to the position of Executive Director in 2003 working with us until 2007 when unfortunately for FVB Nico moved with his family back to Bucharest.

With a background in Law, financial and project management we are very pleased he is now back with us full time. Nico is helping us to improve our financial reporting systems and fundraising capacity, and with his knowledge of computer publishing and website design he is working to improve FVB's profile on the internet.


Boisteanu Raluca Sabina - Coordinator Constanta Programme


Raluca has joined our team in Sep. 2015. She's got her diploma in Psychosociology at the University 'Lucian Blaga' University in Sibiu, qualified as a Trainer and Community Development Facilitator with several years of experience in Recruitment and Vocational Counselling and she is now co-ordinating and helps us developing FVB's programmes in Constanta County.


Biteanu Ana-Maria - (Volunteer) Coordinator Assistant - Constanta Programme


FVB Team welcomes Ana, who has just joined our team this year and she's helping the Local Coordinator in developing current FVB programmes in Constanta.

She's got a diploma in Psychosociology with the University 'Andrei Saguna' in Constanta and she's previously acted as Career Development Consultant in ASCHFR - Constanta branch.

Viorica Dinu - Kinetotherapist


Viorica graduated the Faculty of Physic Education and Sports and is specialized in physiotherapy. She has over 20 years of experience in working with children and young adults with disability in both placement centres and NGOs. She is also an accredited trainer on basic competences in communication and personal centered planning for the staff working with people with disability. Viorica is the co-ordinator of our social inclusion programme in Constanta.

Elena Costi - Psihopedagog recuperare


Elena has a background in special education and managed for two years the Day Care Centre project at Constanţa. Elena has a strong commitment to encourage and help the young adults with disability become independent. She’s a mommy now, but yet one of our best volunteers, whenever we need her.

Kathleen Biggs - Consultant Dezvoltare


Kathleen has over 30 years practical experience working in the disability sector; 20 of which were managing disability services for a London local authority before she left the UK to spend 10 years working in Cambodia and Sri Lanka.  Kathleen spent 12 months between 2004-05 as a Health Action Overseas volunteer in Romania, working as General Manager of FVB. Kathleen will provide FVB team with advice & guidance in developing services for young people with disabilities. Born in Dublin, Kathleen studied in the UK qualifying as a social worker in 1982.  She has an MSc in International Organization Management & Development, a post graduate degree in management and is a member of the Chartered Management Institute UK.

Alina Dobrescu - Consultant in domeniul dizabilitatii


De profesie psiholog si specialist in Stiintele Educatiei, Alina are o experienta de peste 15 ani in domeniul incluziunii sociale a persoanelor dezavantajate si in special a persoanelor cu dizabilitati. In perioada 2004 - 2005 a coordonat Locuinta Sociala - James Dillon - Constanta iar intre 2005 - 2007 si 2009 - 2010 a coordonat pentru FVB Programele de Formare Profesionala si Programul Shadow Training la Centru Pilot Techirghiol.

In prezent Alina este implicata in asigurarea calitatii si dezvoltarea programelor FVB.

Cristina Serea - Voluntar Galati Programme


Cristina graduated the Faculty of Physic Education and Sports, is specialized in physiotherapy and had worked as FVB team member for 6 years and currently is providing local support related to Casa Catalina Group Home.
